SUNDAY IN THE PINES

Each Sunday, the ALC community gathers in a pine grove by the lake to pause, share, listen and reflect. These moments of mindfulness are some of the most meaningful experiences for our campers and staff. 

LOGS

​

Sunday evening the community gathers and campers share log entries for each day of the preceding week. We have log books going back to 1909, telling the stories of every day of every summer. This is also when campers turn in their required weekly letters home.

CAMPFIRE

 

Once a week, campers, CTs, and counselors gather around the campfire circle and share skits, funny stories, and songs while watching the sun set across the lake.

SONG CONTEST

Every tent writes a song and performs it at the song contest. Judges select a few songs to  add to the official ALC songbook.
